Was wondering if the laser autofocus on the note 20 ultra has any health concerns. All prior phones have been using other ways of auto focus with the exception of the note 20 ultra. Do we need to worry about the laser bouncing off faces of people in the shot?

The laser isn't cheap thats why hardly anyone uses it. It probably a low intensity IR laser and shouldn't cause harm. Its not like the ones you can get to mess with your cat and it will blind you looking at it.
Using a Galaxy S7 Edge (SM-G935A) on ATT with Gear S2 (SM-R730A), Baseband:G935AUCS2APH1, Kernel:3.18.20-8575098

agree that Samsung would not use something cheap on a flagship but don't see many premium phones with laser autofocus, and no documentation available online except some very old discussions about LG camera sensors
