Note 20 Ultra screen fades in and out when playing games

I've had my note 20 Ultra less than a month. When I play games, it fades in and out. How do I stop this?

Do you mean the brightness?

Yes. It is bright enough, then while I'm playing a game on it, it goes dim. then it repeats over and over again.

sometimes it goes dim when I'm just reading my messages, so there is either a setting wrong, or this is a defective phone.

Is this a problem with this phone, or do I have a wrong setting? it is hard to play or do messages on it when the brightness is fading in and out.

I can see how this issue can be frustrating. Does it happen with any other apps besides your games? Have you tried clearing the cache partition on your phone?

Here are the steps to clear the cache partition on your phone.

1. Turn off the device.
2. Press and hold the Volume Up key, then press and hold the Side key.
3. When the Samsung logo displays, release the Side key but continue holding Volume Up.
4. When the Android Recovery screen appears, release Volume Up.
5. An 'Installing system update' message may show for 30 - 60 seconds before the Android system recovery menu options appear.
6. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
7. Press Power key to select.
8. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
9. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
10. Press the Power key to restart the device.
