Note 20 ultra not getting text messages

I am on the T-Mobile network and I have a Galaxy Note 20 ultra 5G. I updated my phone's system to the October 1 security patch a few days ago and now I'm realizing I'm not receiving text messages through my Samsung messaging app ( which also means I'm not receiving them on my Galaxy watch 3). Is this a wide spread issue or am in in the minority? Can this be fixed? Or will I have to keep switching over to the Google messages app to check my text messages? Please help!!!!

Try performing a partition cache clear. It's good at sweeping out the software bugs that sometimes come with these OS/security updates without having to conduct a factory reset and the hassle of having to back up all of your data. Here are the steps:
