I obtained my Note 20 Ultra unlocked under Samsungs Access programme, which includes Office 365 and Samsung Care. The phone was great, but they never gave me my activation information for Microsoft. After several calls to Samsung without success to try to obtain a code, (I continued to pay my subscription in full each month) I made a decision to end my lease and send back the phone.
I received confirmation that they had received my phone and that it was going to be inspected. Today I received the following notification:
We are sorry to tell you that your Samsung Access device does not meet our eligibility requirements. We will return your phone to you. You may use your Samsung Care+ benefits to have it repaired and resubmit it for return credit. For now, you are responsible for making payments on the remaining balance of your Samsung Financing account as described in the Samsung Access Terms and Conditions.
We were expecting Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G 128GB (Unlocked) from you, but we received an item that's not Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G 128GB (Unlocked).
I am in utter disbelief. Now I'm not sure if they think I sent in a ham sandwich but I can assure you that I sent them back a Note 20 Ultra pristine condition. I called them of course and they said that they escalated the issue and that I should here back within 5 days.
I should have seen a red flag with the issues people were having with Samsungs trade in programme. Please take this as warning any would be "Access" purchaser's to think twice before taking up this offer. I am totally disgusted with this experience.

If you google your state, you will be able to find an email address for your attorney general. Once you have an email address, sit down and write a concise letter that includes the details of what happened. If the attorney general gets several letters on the same subject, they are more likely to launch an investigation.
