the Note 20 Ultra supports 15W fast wireless charging, and the wireless charger you have linked only supports up to 10W wireless charging. Technically 10W is considered fast charging, but to take advantage of the really fast wireless charging, you want a 15W wireless charger.

The charging time difference between 10W and 15W honestly is only minutes, but as phones seem to be able to charge at faster speeds, a 15W charger will be more "future" proof with newer phones.... but the price difference is another factor so up to you.

Hello @userGgqfhNMrT6

I have official Samsung fast wireless chargers and my Note 20 Ultra does charge on them saying fast wireless charging. Now, the wireless "fast charging" is not at all like the fast charging using a wired cable. It is slower. But if your phone is not saying "fast wireless charging" then you can check and make sure the fast wireless charging option is turned on...

settings->battery and device care->tap on battery->more battery settings

then under charging, fast wireless charging should be toggled on.

If it already turned on, then the wireless chargers you're using may not support fast wireless charging, or the cable you are using for the wireless pad does not support it, or your wall brick does not support it.

I have a Samsung wireless charger and my Note20 Ultra was working well with it until the Christmas update.  Now it's not working with the wireless charger.

hello @Coyoty

are you using an official samsung wireless charger or a 3rd party wireless charger? I have heard of people having wireless charging problems with 3rd party chargers after the November update, but the problem doesn't seem to happen if you are using an official Samsung one.

Some users having this issue found that if they turned off NFC when they are using wireless charging, the wireless charging will work?

I personally haven't experienced this issue, I use official Samsung wireless chargers with my phone.

This is incredibly prohibitive news, Mari_K. I have already put together a very nice charging station. I went and upgraded from a Samsung Galaxy s9 to a note 20 ultra very recently. I have a wireless charger "trio" which has been conveniently charging my phone, watch, and earbuds. With this phone now, as you've stated above, requiring a 15-watt charger it's no longer charging my phone. I continuously get messages of "wireless charging paused". This doesn't necessarily make sense, because it should at least charge at a slower rate. The charger is rated for three Qi chargers each putting out nine Watts. Is there any plans or products that can accomplish the same objective as the wireless charger trio from Samsung? This was a very nice charger as I could just put everything on it in a very nice consolidated area. In a world where everything seems to be getting more wired and more complicated it was nice having this streamlined option.

hi @beefy1121

there are lots of things that can cause your phone to not charge by cable. The easiest thing to do is check if the cable and brick can charge another phone, if it's not working with another phone, then either your brick or cable need to be replaced. If it does charge another phone, then try turning off your phone and charging it while off and see if that works? If that does work, then try wiping your cache partition and see if the bug gets wiped with that.

If you do not have another phone to check, and the phone won't charge while off either, then here are some things to check ...

1. make sure the cable and brick are still working properly. I know you said it's been happening since the update, but it can be a coincidence. Check that the brick doesn't have any dust in the usb-c port and check the ports for your charging cables. Any small amount of dust or dirt can affect the charging. So make sure they are clean. Make sure your charging cable isn't broken (my cats like to chew charging cables)

2. Check the usb-c port on the phone for dust as well

3. You can try just rebooting your phone, hold down the Bixby (power) key and the volume down buttons for 10 seconds until the logo pops up, then release both buttons. check if it starts charging

4. Wiping the cache partition after updates is always a good thing, so if you didn't already try that before these steps, then definitely try.

if it's still not charging by cable, you can do a factory reset but I hate doing those so I don't recommend that unless it's a last resort. But you can always take your phone to your local UBreakIFix store and have them check it and they can flash the software for you if it's just a software issue.

Good luck!
