Hello, We understand how frustrating it is when your camera is not working properly. Here are some troubleshooting steps that may help, including resetting the camera app, testing the camera while in Safe Mode, and lastly, a factory reset. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01001329/

If you are still unable to use the 1.9 zoom, then it is recommended to have the phone evaluated by an authorized technician.

You can use the following link to find a list of service centers in the U.S. that can do the repair: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/location or by contacting customer support at 1-800-726-7864.

For assistance outside the U.S., please use this link: https://www.samsung.com/us/common/visitlocationsite.html

Blimey mate, looks like you've got yourself there a software problem. Since it at least attains a 1x zoom then I don't think it's hardware related so long as there wasn't any form of physical damage, but you should get an expert diagnosis from a Samsung repair store or an authorized third party regarding that or at least try it yourself by going to the diagnostic section of the Members app.

Yes! I was going to ask if you've recently had a new OS software installed. Then that is the problem, don't do a factory reset yet as there is no guarantee it will solve the problem. Do contact Samsung ASAP and let them know, they can escalate the issue to the appropriate department so they can issue out an update/patch or lead you on how to go about it. If they're not singing the song you want to hear mate then do a backup and reset the phone to see if that works.

There wasn't an issue before I updated, it happened after the new software update
