Note20Thanks for your inquiry. Once available, updates are released to Carriers and thereafter, it is at the Carriers discretion to release the update to customers. Since updates are released by Carriers in waves, we’re unable to determine when your device will receive an update. We appreciate your loyalty.

Note20You are missing key information for anyone to be able to help you. Anyone trying to help would need to know what carrier you are on. While your device IS an unlocked unit, updates are still distributed by the carrier for ANY device on their network, and are therefore the final party who determines WHEN the update happens.

Note20@SfwrEngg I do not work for Samsung. I read these forums. I read that several people who were on carrier locked devices were receiving the 3.0 update, whereas the people on unlocked devices were not yet receiving them. Then I read that the unlocked devices started receiving the updates one carrier at a time. This repeated when 3.1 released. I have this thing in my head called a brain, and I used this to logically determine that the carriers are in complete control of when these are released, based on this fact. Can you explain the reason, that you assert, that Samsung would release the update to the carriers, but then hold out on releasing a finished product to the customers? Technically impossible, despite the carrier PROVIDING the internet service the phone uses to check for updates?
