Does not matter. Samsung is not a carrier. Carriers decide when the updates com through their network, despite whether it is an unlocked or carrier locked device. Several people will not buy unlocked devices because of how long it takes to get updates.
As Patriot stated, its up to the carrier. I've been waiting while AT&T users been updating... not sure why I haven't received it. Not sure how AT&T deploy their updates, coming from an iPhone... its annoying.
Worse update ever! My battery went from 3 days to less than 23 hours. When using either the Samsung Internet browser or Chrome for more than 5 to 7 minutes, I have to restart!
Finally, the phone is very hot to the touch!
All since going to Android 11 on my Note 20 Ultra 5G! The phone is worthless now! Avoid Android 11 at all costs!
