Ever since the April 2020 update for my Samsung Note 8 my battery life was reduced to half its life. I have to fully charge my phone two to three times a day. This is with minimal use. Maybe 10-20 text messages a day, check my email and the weather. Have no social medias or anything on my phone. It's a little concerning when you pay so much money for a phone and it's not even a year old to already have issues. What's more is even though I've only ever used optimized battery settings along with low screen brightness. I just noticed after the software update my keyboard characters are burned in the screen. Again very disappointed to have a phone to cost so much money did not last a year. The phone is restarted every day and system optimize is performed once or twice a day. I have minimal apps on the phone as well. There's no reason my battery life should have been reduced by half its original hours. What's the deal with this?
Do you experience these symptoms if you test your device in safe mode?
-If your phone is misbehaving, it's possible that a third-party app is causing the issue. To figure out what app is acting funny, you can use the Safe Mode feature. In Safe Mode, your phone won't run any third-party apps. This allows you to easily identity and remove the app that may be causing the problem.

Have you tried wiping the cache partition on your device?
The system cache partition stores temporary system data. It's supposed to allow the system to access apps more quickly and efficiently, but sometimes things get cluttered and outdated, so a periodic cache clearing can help make the system run more smoothly.
Give these steps a try to wipe the cache partition on your device:
Turn off the device.
Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby key, then press and hold the Power key.
When the Android logo displays, release all three keys.
An 'Installing system update' message will show for 30 - 60 seconds before the Android system recovery menu options appear.
Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
Press Power key to select.
Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
Press the Power key to restart the device
Please let me know if you continue to experience these symptoms.
Mine is the same and its not an app..its froos to 68% within hrs of recharging ...its definately the update. Its also constantly telling me im not connected to the interent when i am. The message pops up every few mins. started immediately after the update. If i reboot it goes away for about 20mins then starts again.
I am also having similar issues, my phone was stuck on 68% for a while plugged into a fast charger( not normal) also having MAJOR issuse with incoming calls and not being able to answer. When I swipe to answer the screen freezes and my watch continues to ring, even after I can hear the caller, and phone screen is still frozen. Yes, it's the update not an app.
