So I've updated my gallery app to the latest version recent after I had the notification for a few days, and now it just won't open. It keeps giving me the "Gallery has stopped" message and I'm unable to open it from anywhere, whether from my camera or another app. I've already tried to wipe the cache and data, wiped cache partition, reboot my phone. I even used it in safe mode to see if it was a third party app and it gave me the same thing. How do I fix this? I have a samsung note 8 that runs on android 8.1 (it cannot update to pie)
Here are some tips that you can follow to fix the "Gallery has stopped" error message:
1 - Restart your device
2- Clear Cache and Clear Data of Gallery App
3 - Reset App Preferences
4 - Wipe Cache Partition In Recovery Mode
Switch OFF your device.
Press and hold altogether Power, Volume Up, and Home buttons.
When your phone vibrates, release the Power button, but keep holding both Volume Up and Home buttons.
Once you enter into Android System Recovery, release all the buttons.
Now select the option "Wipe Cache Partition" and confirm the process.
Once the process completes, you will not have "Message has stopped" working error.
