This error first appeared when I was no where near water, and the device hasn't been wet since.
I learned the rebooting trick so the phone will still charge, but it's annoying to have to restart the device everytime I want to charge it.
Troubleshooting I've tried:
-powercycling the device
-resetting the data of the device
-clearing the cache and data of the USB management app
-cleaned the port with Alcohol and dried with a cold fan
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will most likely be taking to my carrier tomorrow for further inspection.
Try to buy a new charger port, that problem could be related to a fuse blown on the charger port, you can buy the part and install it by your own, its very easy just search on YouTube how to change the charger port of the galaxy Note 8, hope this could help you!
