So I came from a Note 5 and I used the default "messages" app and when I found find a funny GIF I would send a friend a text by loading up the pictures icon and finding The gif and hitting send. The animations would send and would be received in normal time.
Since I've had the Note 8, as soon as I attach any size gif or even make my own GIF using handwriting (live message), it speeds up the animation to hyperspeed and myself and the recipient can barely tell what's going on as it's sped up so fast?

I'm using the default "Messages" app, version 4.3.01.1. Although I've noticed if I use that or Verizon's "Message+" app it's still the same results.
GIF animations sent via text are sped up and unwatchable. If I send GIFs via Instagram, email, Facebook, etc it plays at normal speed. Only via text is the issue.
As for when the issue happened... since day one when I got the phone. I've only tried other applications. The default text apps don't seen to work well but others have reported using different apps with success, such as Textra
I have this GIF hyperspeed problem with my Note 8 from Verizon. Verizon says it's a problem with Samsung. I am a long time Note user, but the Apple X GIF/Emoji feature is off the chain. What's up with this Samsung. How did we allow Apple to beat us to this?
