Note 8 - gif animations sent via text are sped up to hyperspeed

I adjusted mine to "Off" and all GIFs, annimation, etc. is working fine!

1. Go to Settings > About phone
2. Find Build number and tap it 7 times in quick succession
3. A notification will tell you when Developer options have been unlocked
4. Now, go back to Settings > Developer options
5. Scroll down to Window animation scale, Transition animation scale, and Animator duration scale
6. Adjust them all 0.5x or off

First off..  if you clear the cache it will delete all of your texts... so make sure you save important ones... I learned this the hard way. 

 As for changing the animations displayed on the phone... why would turning them off on my display change how the GIF is sent via text message to another phone?  The GIFs are still sped up on the other persons phone.

This doesn't work! Using an S7, never used to happen with my Note 3 or with my Moto G4.  #samsung why has this issue not been resolved Or is it simply indifference on the part of Samsung??

This does not work.  I do this to all my android phones and it still does it.  I have a Sprint Note 8.

I also downloaded the Textra app and I am now able to send gifs at normal speeds. I am very excited.
