Definitely not. If it suits your need keep as long as possible. Wait for at least 11 preferably 12.
The pros to upgrade:
You like a bigger screen.
It definitely comes with more internal space. And you need that extra space.
Internal battery always wears off
Every battery is good for anywhere between 750-1.500 recharge cycles. Depending how it was managed by the user. So eventually it will drain very fast (and Samsungs, Apples etc knows this) so they want you to upgrade. Unless you decide to get a new battery. Which costs money + labor.
So you need to decide if your power supply still fits your needs.
Cons; No iris scanner. For some it's meaningless for me it really matters.
Miscellaneous Con factor.
Don't get the 5G version. It's totally useless for at least a 5 good years. Looking on the map there are like bout 12 spots in the US that will offer 5G
Not to mention the fact that the network carriers (US is bit different from other regions like the EU)
aren't really compatible with each other. Not yet.
Again Samsung & the US carriers knows this. But they need to experiment on someone.
If you think you need powerhouse for your creative life and you travel alot so i'll say yes , and there's a battery life difference too , you can have a all day battery life with a single charge (its my experiance) , and there's alot of things that samsung upgraded if we compare to note 8.
