Please Help! Unsupported SD Card error

The other day driving home from work my phone gave me an error saying it didn't support my SD card. I've had this in my phone since I got it 2 years ago. How can I fix it without formatting the SD card?

I have the Samsung Galaxy ae10 and I experienced the same problem, well my phone doesn't read my SD card at all. I'm not sure what to do

Re: Please Help! Unsupported SD Card error

Poor contact of SD card can cause this, so:

Remove the SD card and checking the positioning or clean the contact area(copper)

or

  1. Open your device's Settings app .
  2. Tap Apps.
  3. Tap the app you want to move to your SD card.
  4. Tap Storage.
  5. Under "Storage used," tap Change.
  6. Pick your SD card.
  7. Follow the on-screen steps.

Re: Please Help! Unsupported SD Card error

Try this;

Run CHKDSK on SD Card

Run CHKDSK to fix blank SD card error message by following the given steps:

  • Run cmd as administrator and type chkdsk G: /f

Note: G is the drive letter assigned to SD Card

Before executing CHKDSK, make sure that the SD Card is connected to the computer or laptop and is detected by the machine. After the procedure completes, insert the memory card back to the phone to check if it is working fine.

Just wanted to say I'd try copying files to computer if you havent, maybe pc can read the card via card reader or something. Good luck.

What SD card are you using? Ive noticed an issue before that these galaxies are very choosy on SD cards from what i have experienced. Though its been in there for 2 years , software change could be part of the issue. Id clean the card , download to a computer.

Re: Please Help! Unsupported SD Card error

My computer sees the SDXC drive letter D, but the chkdsk command just sits there after hitting enter.
