Please Help

Hello I am using a Galaxy Note 8. Since this morning I noticed that the top of my screen does not respond to my fingers any more. I can't do any action implying the top of the screen nor matter the app. Meanwhile it respond correctly when I use the SPen.

I would give this a try to see if it works in safe mode follow the instructions below 

 

Turn on and use safe mode

Safe mode allows you to turn on the device with third-party apps disabled. Then you can easily uninstall apps that may be causing a conflict or software problem.

 

  1. Turn the device off.
  2. Press and hold the Power key past the model name screen.
  3. When "SAMSUNG" appears on the screen, release the Power key.
  4. Immediately after releasing the Power key, press and hold the Volume down key.
  5. Continue to hold the Volume down key until the device finishes restarting.
  6. Safe mode will display in the bottom left corner of the screen.
  7. Release the Volume down key when you see Safe Mode.
  8. Uninstall apps that are causing a problem.

Turn off safe mode

  1. Press and hold the Power key.
  2. Tap Restart.

Have you tried to refresh the entire phone by turning off...

Have you tried to refresh the entire phone by turning off the phone for 30 seconds. Turning back on if that doesn't work remove you finger touch security and start over. If that doesn't work either you will have the reset your phone but not factor reset

I've tried to wipe the cache partition. It didn't work either. I will try to remove the finger sensor. Eventhough the issue is on the screen. Thanks
