So I received the September security patch a couple days ago for my Note 8 (T-Mobile). I noticed at times that the phone would run snappier than usual. I figured it was just from the new update. Then I realized that the power saving mode (medium) was turning itself off only when charging (plug or wireless). Adaptive Battery would also be turned off, as the mode would automatically change to optimize. I reached out to Samsung via Twitter, and after resetting my settings and clearing the system cache (the rep's suggestion), they concluded this was due to power saving mode being shut off while charging. This hasn't happened until the update. Plus, if this is a feature, why wouldn't it automatically go back to Medium once unplugged? Why should I have to manually change it back each time? I'm not a power user but let's be honest, Note 8's battery can be inconsistent. And I'm getting noticeably worse battery life because of this. Has anyone else had a problem?
