to get voicemail messages on my landline, I need to type "111" after the answering machine starts its message; how to I do that (I tried switching to "keypad" but the phone assumed I wanted to dial a new number; my phone is model Galaxy A10e

Thank you. Try toggling it off and restart your device. Then try calling your voicemail again.

when out of town, I dial my office landline number to see if there are any messages; on my landline system, the way to find out if there are messages is to dial 111 when the answering machine starts spouting its recording about leaving a message; how do I enter the 111?

Thank you for confirming that for me. 

 

Try going into your settings > sounds and vibrations > can you confirm for me if your Dialling keypad tones is currently toggled on or off?

it is on (assuming that the circle to the right (with blue on the left) is on
