Other Mobile DevicesI bought the A53 5G off eBay. The model I got was the A536U1/DS that for a long time only one SIM was working. Both SIMs started working after the Android 13 & UI version 5.0 update.
I have a 5G plan with my carrier, but even though a 5G (not bold) icon appears in the status bar, there is no 5G connection. Phone detects the 5G signal, but it can't connect to it.
My Carrier A53 5G model is A536E/DS, I know they are different models, but that's ridiculous that phones have this kind of restrictions on mobile connetions. I tried to re-flash my A536U1/DS to that model, but I was not able to do it.
So, is there a way I can fix the 5G connection issue or flash the A536E/DS firmware into the A536U1/DS?

Other Mobile DevicesAlso countries use different frequencies which is why they tell you to make sure you have a phone that will work when you travel there.
Some phones don't work with our frequency which is why you don't buy an international model
If the phone can't find the frequencies it won't connect to 5G

Other Mobile DevicesThe phone can find the frequency, just it doesn't connect to it. It shows 5G icon on Status bar, but not in bold, so that's mean it has the band for my carrier 5G, but it's not connecting to it due to software limitation like the Dual Sim capability that was not working till the Andriod 13 update. so it's a software limitation not a hardward limitation....
But i can't flash the A536E/DS software either.

Other Mobile DevicesHow can a phone detect a signal on a specific band without having that band? that makes no sense at all. It wouldn't detect the 5G signal if the band is not present.
the phone has the band for my carriers according to the specs. it's just a software limitation

Other Mobile DevicesOf Course.. it's the 3500Mhz n78 band. A536U1/DS has it. My device detects the 5G signal, there is no way a device can detect a signal if it doesn't have the band that signal is been transmitted on..

Other Mobile DevicesYou may need to change your phone. I had to change it for the A536E/DS model to get 5G with my carrier even though the A536U1/DS has the band my carrier uses: n77/n78
