Callers can't hear me for several seconds in

A53 5g....when I make calls I can hear the people on other end say hello but then it's about 10 seconds or 4 can you hear me now before they hear me. Incoming calls work fine

First, restart your device and ensure that your software is on the latest version by checking Settings > System Updates. Next, start your device in safe mode, this will disable all 3rd party apps/services and purely load the Android OS, using this guide: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062983/

 

Try making a voice call to hear if there is any sound coming from the receiver/speaker. Open Voice Recorder and record your voice. Playback the recording to see if you can hear yourself. If you can hear yourself, it is likely that there is an issue with the other end of the voice call or your service provider.

 

Finally, complete a factory reset be sure that you back up your important data as this process will wipe all personal data from the phone: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062029/

If the troubleshooting is not helpful, the phone will need to be evaluated by a certified technician.
