I have an A52 I use on Verizon I have had for about a month (bought on eBay). When I turn on my mobile hotspot, it will only allow one device to connect to it at a time. Is there some setting I am missing that I need to change? With my previous phone multiple devices were able to connect and I am on the same plan.

Yes, there's a setting that you can change to allow 1-10 devices to connect to your hotspot.
'Settings'→'Connections'→'Mobile Hotspot & Tethering'→'Mobile Hotspot'→'Configure'→'Advanced' (tap the arrow to expand this category)→'Maximum connections' (tap the number to choose (1-10)

Thanks for your response.

I don't see that as an option once I get to Advanced. Here is a screenshot of what I see.
