Device Care app tip

hey Samsung Fam,

Here's another tip on how you can get the most out of your device increasing its longevity.

The Device Care app: Located in your settings menu; lives the device care app which oversees the overall performance of you device. When you tap on it; youll see four menu options. Battery, Storage, Memory, and Security.

  • Battery: When you tap this setting; it gives you an indepth look at your device's overall batterylife at that point in time. Right under that you will find Battery Usage; this setting allows you to see which apps are taking up batterlife while in use, or in the background,  duration of Scrren-on time, and when your device was last charged.  After that option, next is power mode. If you tap this setting option. This allows you to set the performance of your device which will increase or decrease your batferlife depend on which option you choose. There's High-performance mode, Optimized, medium power saving mode, and maximum power saving mode. These settings are mainly used for productivity or when you're without your charger at the time and need that extra percent to save yourself some battery before your device dies.  After that settinf you we have app power management, this setting allows you to enable or disable which apps run in the background whether they're in use or in a deep sleeping mode which can impact the powrformance of your battery. The last really cool settings in the batter option that are available are Power Share mode, which allows you to share some batterlife with other Samsung Qi enabled devices to give them a charge, and Fast charing both wired and wireless.
  • Storage: this menu setting allows you to view the overall storage of your device and view how much storage is being used up by data on your phone. This includes, apps, pictures, videos, and themes.
  • Memory: this is your Ram availability on your device; it allows you to see which apps are using the moat memory at any given time. Obviously the more apps you have open, the less fluid you phone will feel while you're using it. It helps to clear the apps taking up memory often so that it remains feeling as fluid as possible. You can do this by pressing that "clear now" button thats available to you.
  • security: this menu option is your anti-virus that's built-in to your phone. Upon setup; you'll need to activate it. Once you do it will give you three indications at the top that let's you know if your device is at risk of any Malware. "Unsafe" "Scan needed" and "Secure." When you perform a system scan of your phone; it scans through all your data to find and Malware that maybe on your phone. Once it's done, it will give you a notification that it's all good or not.

The last thing is at the Very Bottom on this menu setting, you have a "Optomize Now" button which optimizes your phone's performance even before you dive into each setting. How cool is that?! 🙂

I hope this gives you all some incite on how to get better performance out of your Samsung Devices.
