Galaxy A50 Bluetooth issues

JUMP TO SOLUTION

Just purchased 2 A50's and both have connectivity issues on bluetooth. Signal is received by audio device yet for approx 1-2 minutes sound cuts in and out, then works absolutely fine. Have used different brand of cell phones the exact same way, all Android, with no issues in either car. Any suggestions?

Have you tried resetting the network settings? Just a heads up, by resetting the network settings, it will remove all wi-fi and Bluetooth settings you currently have saved.

I've tried this method on my galaxy A50, i've even went as far as reseting my device and no luck. I am having similar issues with my bluetooth Dualshock4 wireless controller (Ps4 controller). It will say connected but it doesnt do anything on the device, and when i turn off bluetooth it will not turn back on unless i force stop the bluetooth service in the settings.

I have reset network settings and also cleared cache and data in system bluetooth app. Pretty much does nothing to fix issue. As I mentioned earlier I bought myself and my wife an A50 with same issue on both.

Have you verified the software is up to date for the Bluetooth systems you are connecting to? Is this only with the car Bluetooth systems? Do either of the systems use Android Auto?

Never thought about bluetooth system on receiving units....

JUMP TO SOLUTION

Never thought about bluetooth system on receiving units. And yes they both are car audio devices but not Android auto. Not really sure how to connect these aftermarket head units online to do any updates or of that is even possible. Neither one is a cheap unit. They both functioned correctly using our LG V series phones just last week.

Hello!

I have also experienced the same problem with a Kia Forte 5 EX 2013 that has a standard bluetooth radio, no apple car play, no Android Auto. I can pair a Samsung Galaxy S2 10 times out of 10 but when I try with the A50, I am able to pair it with my Kia only once and as soon as I leave the car and come back few hours later, the car radio is unable to pair with the phone. I've returned the A50 and get a full refund because of that. Kia told me that there was no Bluetooth firmware update to do on my car radio.

I have the same problem with A50 and Pathfinder 2018.
Have two other Android phones including Note 9, no problems there, only A50 and only in the car.
