Galaxy Watch 46mm leaks - Samsung and Vodafone will not repair

I own a Samsung Watch 46mm and the altimeter and barometer stopped working.  Vodafone replaced it under warranty but the replacement watch leaked the first time I got it wet.  It is IP68 rated and Samsung claim it is waterproof to 5ATM or 50 metres.

Evidently it is not in this case and Vodafone have refused to repair it as it is 'water damage'. So it is water resistant to 50 mteres and IP68 which one could consider as water resistant to 50 metres for  30 minutes.

So why will Vodafone and Samsung  not repair water damage, why would it be excluded for something they advertise as being so. Surely it is in breach of trade descriptions and is unlawful.

Samsung why will you not repair a watch in warranty for water damage?

I swam in my Active all summer. Last summer I used the S9+ in the ocean at beach to shoot under water video. Its odd how some people get water damage and others don't. I remembered to turned on water mode each time... I feel your frustration though.
