Galaxy Watch

Galaxy watch.  A couple hundred songs on the watch, and I want to delete them.  Yes I know how to delete, that isn't the problem, the problem is that once I delete them - they come back!

So I delete all music in every playlist, recently played etc., until everything shows zero content.  When I restart the watch they are all there, they come back.  I tried turning off the phone in case it is doing a background sync but that didn't do anything.  I tried just deleting one or two songs, and it is confirmed they are gone, but again on restart, or reboot, they come back.  How do I fully delete all songs?
