Galaxy a11 after Nov update unable to answer phone or turn off alarms with on-screen buttons

Used to be able to answer phone by tapping green phone icon, turn off alarms by tapping middle of screen. Now after Nov update the only way I can answer phone/turn off alarms is to use UP VOLUME key. BUT it doesn't always answer easily and alarms go to snooze, can't just turn off!

Sometimes clearing the system cache after a software update can resolve bugs.
