Hey I have an old Galaxy J6+ from 2019 but it used to work so well until earlier this year when I got a software update then a month later I started having issues of the phone restarting randomly. At first I didn't think much about it cause I had bought another Samsung phone and I was using that one mainly but I wanted to use this one for work. So after a while it became more frequent and i didn't know what caused it. I reset my phone so many times but no change to behaviour, I always check software updates every week and almost every day. I even checked it before I started writing this post. And no update since January this year which I'm suspecting. And I even tried disabling apps to see which one would cause the error and for some reason Google Play Store is the problem. I have to either sideload apps from third-party websites or download old versions of apps now from the Galaxy Store cause every time I even dare to enable Google Play Store, it just crashes my phone and it restarts then I have to hurry and disable the app before it crashes my phone now. And it's the play Store that came with the phone cause I reset my phone again after discovering it then realized that it just crashes after setting up the phone.
And the funny thing is that it wasn't even updated because immediately after setting up your phone, you have the factory version of Google Play Store that came with the phone so you can't tell me that it's the new version of Play Store that's giving me the problem. And what's funnier is that I got the update for this phone like days after i bought my newer one and i was very sure that this phone was not receiving any more updates after 2021 cause August 2021 was the last time it got an update before January 2023. So if this is some planned obsolescence going on just say it and I can move on with this cause this is really annoying.
