How do you add photos to text ?

How do you add photos to text messages?  I've never had a problem with this with any phone before and this new Samsung A51 says there are none. But I have thousands of photos in my photos app

they are in Google photos. they have always been there in all my phones.

I am so frustrated. none of my messages or apps transferred either and I used the smart switch app
