Hey I just had the same thing happened to my Galaxy Note9 spoke to a representative about it. Put phone in safe mode then try charging again. If not try taking it of safe mode it works for me.
Sme thing has been happening to me with my Note 9 for 3 weeks now, I've been wirelessly charging it. Even with the phone powered off, it connects then disconnects from charging, then reconnects and disconnects again.
My husband is having the same issue with his S9 issued March 2018. He has never dropped it in water, it has had some port connection problems before. The store cleaned the port. His phone will only charge on charging pad now.
If my phone dies completely and I try to charge it with an aftermarket charger I get that message. The only way to stop is to use the charger that came with the phone or just an authentication Samsung charger.
