My Samsung A12 device is not working properly after the Android 13 update. One of the major issue is that few photos and videos taken on camera are not displayed.

I would be happy to assist you with regards to the photos. If photos are seemingly gone after an update, check your Gallery's trash:
Step 1. Open Gallery app > tap Menu. Step 2. Select Trash > tap Edit. Step 3. Select photos you want to restore > tap Restore.
Also, check any other backup methods you have, such as an SD card, OneDrive, Google Drive, or any other cloud service you use.
