You are correct the google app was the cause of the error. Thank You.

thanks. Problem solved by disabling Google apps and uninstalling updates. Later enabling the google apps again did not restart the problem. Think the updates had some incompatible feature that was responsible for the problem.

I am having exactly the same problem as described, it seemed to start in the last week or 2. I just uninstalled the "Google" APP, so far so good. keeping my fingers crossed since I have a couple apps that don't exit clean, never have and the only way to stop them is holding the HOME button until the APP LIST comes up and sliding that APP closed manually or using CLOSE ALL. Thanks

Hi, so every time I long press the middle button on my phone, an error message pops up:
Unfortunately, the process com.android.systemui has stopped.
.Once I press `OK` the background goes black for a second and it takes me to the "swipe to unlock" screen.
Everything works normal, but I can't access the menu that displays open apps by long pressing the middle button.
I don't know if this helps here's some system info
Model number: GT-19192
Android version: 4.4.2
Kernel version: 3.4.0-5271870
Samsung s4mini

On Samsung Galaxy note 8.0
I went in and cleared the cache under the Google app
Settingstore - application manager - Google - clear cache
You will also need to Uninstall the update. This can be done on the same screen. This fixed it immediately..
