Hi. I'm hoping someone can help me understand what may be causing my sign in location to show as Germany when I'm in the U.S.
I have a Galaxy A14 OS 13. It has gone back and forth between sign-ins showing the US then Germany and flipping back and forth between the 2 for over a month. My sign in today again is showing Germany when I'm in the US.
I use Nord VPN however always use a United States server usually one in my home state. I even contacted Nord a few weeks ago to make sure it wasn't an issue through their app. The verified what server I was using and it was one of theirs in the US.
So what could cause Samsung to believe I'm in a different continent?.
I've also had this issue where my voicemail time stamps are 4-6 hours off as well. But behind not ahead. So I wouldn't think the two were connected. Hoping someone can give me some idea on what might be causing this. Maybe a simple settings issue somewhere I'm not savy enough to know about?
@Anonymous This sounds very strange. If you are using your carrier's voicemail system, the voicemail timestamps would be something that they would add. So it implies that the carrier's time frame is off. Which carrier are you using? Are you using multiple SIMs?
BTW, Germany is always behind the US. When it is 10 am in New York it is 4 pm in Germany.
They are actually ahead of us by about 6 hours givevor take. But to answer your question I'm with metro by T-Mobile and already contacted them. They supposedly reset my network to fix the issue but idk if they didn't follow through or it didn't work.
@Anonymous Sorry, I guess I should have said their time is "later" than the US, rather than "behind". If you received a call at 10 am New York but the VM system is set to Germany time, the timestamp would be 4 pm.
