Tested it, it looks like it's fixed. That's good, but what about Samsung's support denying that there was ever a problem?
My advice to everyone is to turn of auto-update after this patch, because I don't trust them anymore regarding their support and routine software updates...
BTW, it's my video that you see when searching a8 sound problem on youtube, I pinned a comment there that new update fixes it.
I did receive the november security patch for canadian model, but it didn't mention anything about fixing sound issues, nor did it fix anything. Any canadian users who has theirs fixed or still waiting?
