The ability to tether my Samsung Galaxy A21 to my Samsung Chromebook was lost shortly after a recent update. After several failed attempts by tech support to resolve, it appears that the new SIM-card from T-Mobile has disabled this function despite proper setting and unlimited data access. A new SIM-card didn’t work either. My service plan is with Sprint, which I was told is dissolving in a few months via the merger. Out of ideas.
A T-Mobile store clerk, after noting that I currently pay only $30/mo, told me that my Sprint phone is not compatible with the T-Mobile service plans, which are $70-90/mo. They won't admit it, but I think it is just a money grab by their marketing division, and even their tech support is oblivious to it. Thanks.
