Text notification sounds

I have a Samsung a 53 and I cannot Make different sound notifications to my different Contacts in messages And I cannot set a default sound for messages. I've tried cooling information but I've had no luck because it's showing I should have some kind of kind of widget slider Which I do not have and do not  Know how to load one on my phone

If I am understanding correctly you can go into setting and open sounds a vibrations and set different notification sounds. I like to use the app Zedge for more personalized sounds from the Google Playstore.

Don't know about different sounds for contacts but you can set a sound for new messages.

Tap and hold on messages app icon and then in the pop-up tap on the "i" mark. Then go to notifications and then tap on notification categories. In there tap on new messages or incoming messages and this will let you set a custom notification sound. Do this for each app you want to set a different sound.
