I keep getting notifications that visual voicemail isn't working properly.

I've been getting that too. Wish I knew how to fix it.

Have you tried going to Settings>Apps>Visual Voicemail>Storage>Clear Cache? Have you gotten an update recently?

I clear the cache on all my apps on a regular basis. And I haven't checked for updates. This was happening even after the last update.

Are you able to open your Visual Voicemail? Have you tried clearing the data for the app?

Yes I've done all that. I've tried refreshing and it won't refresh either.

So the app itself will not open? Are you using the correct Visual Voicemail app from your carrier?

The app opens but it won't refresh. I'm using the voicemail that came on my phone.

I would try wiping the cache partition but if that does not work, I would recommend contacting your carrier since voicemail is carrier controlled.

  1. Turn off the device.
  2. Press and hold the Volume Up key, then press and hold the Side key.
  3. When the green Android logo displays, release all keys ('Installing system update' will show for about 30 - 60 seconds before showing the Android system recovery menu options).
  4. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
  5. Press Power key to select.
  6. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
  7. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
  8. Press the Power key to restart the device.

I just checked and there's no update available for me. It's an A51.
