Wi-fi problems on Samsung A6+ after recent software updates

Hi there! So my 2 month-old Samsung A6+ just suddently started with wi-fi problems after the recent (mid August) software updates. I can connect it to my wi-fi (and others), but I cannot access or load any internet pages (I don't have the "connected, but no internet" state or any other symbol on the wi-fi indicator. It's not a ISP problem, as I can go to the internet without any problem on my PC. The odd thing is that the internet (on my phone) works, but really slowly, at random hours (like twice a day or something)...

Is there any possible fix? Because this is really frustrating...

Just to close this thread: I found the fix!! Smiley Very Happy Just enable the power saving mode and then disable it again and it should be fixed right away!

Settings>Apps>Click on the three dots at the top right corner>Show system Apps>Device Maintenance>Storage> Clear Cache/Data

Settings>Apps>Click on the three dots at the top right corner>Show system Apps>Phone (All 3)>Storage> Clear Cache/Data

Settings>Apps>Click on the three dots at the top right corner>Show system Apps>Wifi Direct>Storage> Clear Cache/Data

Settings>Apps>Click on the three dots at the top right corner>Show system Apps>Secure Wifi>Storage> Clear Cache/Data *(Only Clear Cache if you are using a secured wifi network)*

None of them worked... (plus I rebooted my phone after trying all the above options)

Okay, thank you. Let's give this a shot; 

Steps here:

Turn off the device.

Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key, then press and hold the Power key.

When the device logo screen displays, release only the Power key

When the Android logo displays, release all keys (‘Installing system update’ will show for about 30 – 60 seconds before showing the Android system recovery menu options).

Press the Volume down key several times key to highlight ‘wipe cache partition.’

Press the Power key to select. 

Press the Volume down key to highlight ‘yes’ a press the Power key to select.

When the wipe cache partition is complete, ‘Reboot system now’ is highlighted.

Press the Power key to restart the device.

After 1 hour, seems that the first fix worked (at least I have a connection). I will see if this is the ocasional connection that I refered on the 1st post, or if it is completely fixed and reply to you again.

Alright, Thank you so much for your cooperation it is greatly appreciated! Can you try booting your phone into safe mode to see if the problem continues? 

To get into safe mode, just do the following:

  • Power your device down
  • Then power it back on
  • Press and hold the Volume Down key when you see the Samsung logo until the phone is powered on. 

Let me know how this works.
