Xcover 4s - unreliabe Bluetooth connectivity

Hello!
I have an Xcover 4s and since the latest patch I have a huge problem with bluetooth an unreliable connectivity.

I use a motorcycle helmet communication system N-Com B4+, that connects to the phone via bluetooth. I use the system for calls while on the bike and music streaming from the phone to the communication system.
Until now, this system was very reliable. Calls and Audio were checked in the bluetooth settings of the device, and audio was always available. Reliably.
With the May 1st patch that changed.

Now, the communication system connects only as "calls" reliably - getting it to connect as audio is a gamble. I can either turn the helmet on and off a few times until the audio works or I can go into the bluetooth settings of the device and turn the audio slider on manually. this usually works after a few tries.

Needless to say, that this can not be considered a permanent solution.

 

I did some research and did reset the network settings and paired the devices again - no change.

I did also change the AVRCP - Versions as well as the Bluetooth audio codecs - no change.

Any further ideas?
