data recovery on broken phone screen?

hey all, a family member recently broke her screen completely. phone still works just the screen is completely shattered and it doesn't light up. 

I forgot to turn on the remote unlock in find my mobile for her, so would my best option be to get a USBC to HDMI adaptor so I can mirror the broken phone to a TV and active smart switch with a Bluetooth mouse (I'm assuming the phone must be unlocked and there will be things I'll have to click) 

any ideas are appreciated!

You are correct the device needs to be unlocked for screen mirror to work.

My phone screen is broken [z flip 4] and so it will not take my fingerprint or pin. I want to access that fone to get my stuff transferred to my new phone. How can I gain access???

If you set up unlock remotely you can log into your samsung account and unlock remotely. I believe it's off by default and hBe to turn it on using your pin.
