I purchased this tv in February 2023 and up until two nights ago it worked perfectly. A rectangular shadow has appeared in the top left of the screen. This is our entertainment room tv so it is not used daily. If I graciously assume I used this daily for 4 hours a day, that would be 4,000 hours of use or well below the anticipated life of a QLED.
I worked with tech support by doing a factory reset, unplug all connected cables, picture test, and unplug the tv all to no avail.
My understanding is this is most likely the backlight. I’d need a service company to come out and diagnose this and then see what the cost to repair would be.
Anyone else have this issue? I’d like to think there is an easy fix but have low confidence in that.
I’ve bought nothing but Samsung tvs since 2008, currently have 3, but am extremely dissatisfied that this tv is having issues so early and especially for what I paid for this tv.
