Overview of Audio Problems
I am experiencing persistent audio issues with my Samsung TV. Despite following standard support suggestions, including resetting the sound, the problem remains unresolved. The main issue is that the volume does not stay consistent when I change channels. For instance, I set the sound comfortably at level 24 but often need to increase it to levels 30โ33 when switching channels. Even within the same channel, the volume can fluctuateโduring a movie, the dialogue may be clear, but when background music or other sounds occur, the volume level can jump by 4 to 5 levels.
Volume Level Inconsistencies
At volume level 10 or below, there is little to no sound coming from the TV. When the volume is set around 38, increasing the volume beyond that point barely affects the sound output. Attempts to reset the sound to factory settings and set the Sound Mode to Standard have not made a difference.
Cable Box Settings and Troubleshooting
My Samsung cable box offers settings designed to keep the sound consistent when changing channels, but these options did not resolve the issue. The available settings are:
Cable Box Audio Settings >Output - Dolby Digital or Other
>Volume Control - Fixed or Variable
I tried various combinations of these settings, but none helped. Additionally, replacing the HDMI cable did not improve the situation.
Comparison with Other Samsung TVs
I have owned several Samsung TVs previously and have never experienced sound or other problems. My older 32" model in the office works perfectly and does not have any audio issues.
Product Details and Purchase Information
The TV model in question is QN55Q60CDFXZA, with serial number <REMOVED>. It was purchased on 03/11/2024 at BJ's Wholesale Club.
Closing Remarks
Samsung is known for its high-quality products, so encountering this type of problem is unexpected. Thank you for taking the time to read my note and for your response.
