I have replaced 4 Sony TV with Frame PRO. House is equipped with an 8x8 video matrix from Atlona (model AT-OPUS-810M)
After TV power up, TV show "No Signal...." but the matrix receiver is properly connected.
After some troubleshooting and speaking to Atlona, it appears that the Frame TV does not maintain the HDP on when turning TV ON. ( HPD: Hot Plug Device).
I also try diff thing. CEC on and OFF, IP Control ON and Off. Input signal plus on and Off.
matrix works fine with 6 years old Sony TV but does not work the Frame TV 2025
( have try with the 2025 85" and 2x 75" and one 55" frame wired one connect.
To be more specific, if you turn off TV and turn it back on after a few second, TV turn on and HDMI input does sync and get picture and sound.
If you wait 5 to 10 min, the TV seems to lose the HPD and we get the no signal. The only way to get a video/Audio is to unplug the cat6 from the matrix to reboot the HDMI receiver/balum)
Why does it work with old Sony TV and NOT with new Samsung Frame Pro TV?
Apple TV connected directly to the TV works. Atlona could not clarify why Apple TV works and not the matrix, while again matrix works with Sony TV
Does anyone has input on exactly how the HDP works?
I was so surprised to have such issue. Have used Video Matrix before never had such issue.
