I just purchased a Samsung Q60D Series QLED 50" I cannot use TV PLUS or INTERNET BROWSER unless I am logged in. For example, I am logged in and looking at the TV GUIDE and Samsung TV PLUS guide is there. If I log out then go back to the guide TV PLUS is gone! Same with the browser, it only loads when I am logged in. If I click the INTERNET or TV PLUS icons from the HOME SCREEN (while not logged in) a login screen appears.
Per Samsung TV PUS FAQ: You DO NOT NEED an account to watch TV. However if you have an account and log in it opens up more features.
NOTE: I have a new CU8000 a few months old and I do NOT have to login to use TV PLUS or INTERNET.
Whats going on here? Why do they not work when not logged in? Anyone?
Your Samsung Account...from within the TV. In fact NO apps work unless you're signed in. I don't like this. It must be something new with the Tizen 2024 software (v 1106 on my TV). My 2023 CU8000 you do not have to be logged in.
Ahh. Since I log into Samsung on all my devices I hadn't even considered that snf don't knoe when it started since I have always logged in. . I like to be able to sync all the devices in the ecosystem.
