QLED and The Frame TVsI have the Samsung 50" QLED 7. It suddenly stopped reading all my external hard drives. My other Samsung TVs can read them fine.
It sees the hard drive, recognizes memory is used, but won't show the files.
I've tried the soft reset, removing all devices, looking for updates, and changing cables. Nothing has worked.

QLED and The Frame TVsHello Hyper Chick,
We're sorry to hear the TV is no longer identifying your external drive and would love to assist. Has the TV ever recognized the external driver or is this the first connectivity attempt? Also, can you verify the format for your current external hard drive? If your hard drive is not formatted in one of the formats accepted by the TV, it may not be recognized.

QLED and The Frame TVsI don't know how the hard drives are formatted. The TV has always been able to read our hard drives since we bought it in October without issue. It just recently developed this issue 4 days ago. We have 2 other Samsung TVs. One is an older 3D TV and the other is the exact same TV as this one only in a 55". We bought the 50" and 55" at the same time. Both the other TVs can read all of our hard drives fine. This 50" one stopped reading any hard drive. I recognizes that the memory has been used. It just can no longer see the video files.

QLED and The Frame TVsHello @Hyper Chick, thank you for reaching out to Community.
I have listed some additional troubleshooting steps below that may help you with the issue.
1. Make sure the USB cable is securely connected. If the drive has its own power cable, make sure it's plugged in.
2. Try a different USB cable.
3. If the TV is not recognizing it, connect the drive to a PC and check for file system errors
4. You also want to make sure that ;your device is running the latest firmware.
I hope that this information was able to clear up the issue. Please feel free to let us know if it helped.

QLED and The Frame TVsI have tried all you have recommended and nothing works.
None of my external hard drives work on this TV even though they did a week ago.
The external hard drives work fine on my QLED 7 55" fine and on an old 3D Samsung TV. My old XboxOne can even read them. They work on all my laptops. The 50" QLED is the only device that can't see the files.
