Dust or debris can sometimes accumulate under the buttons, preventing them from registering properly. Gently clean the remote with a soft, dry cloth, paying special attention to the button area.
Soft Reset: Press and hold the Return and Play/Pause buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds or more. Hard Reset: Remove the batteries, and then hold the Power button for eight seconds to reset the remote. Then, reinsert the batteries and try to use the remote again.
