QLED and The Frame TVs

I'm having issues with the youtubetv app on my 65" QLED television. For some reason when exiting the app i am returned to the TVs home screen and can see the list of app and all the garbage I don't want to see below it. The problem is the app doesn't exit...if I turn off the TV and go do something and turn the TV and select the youtubetv app it picks up where I was watching as if I paused the app instead of exiting. Is anyone having issues on a QLED TV? All other app like Prime, Hulu, even youtube exit properly.

It might be a feature with the app so you don't lose your place. Maybe check the app settings.

I did. The problem is each account on the app has up to 5 users each with their own library. If i exit then someone else in the house can turn the TV on, select youtubetv and login as themselves and their library...not my library. Youtubetv works fine on galaxy phone app, iPhone app and roku. The app developed for Samsung smart televisions is not working properly. My TV and app software are the latest versions. It's more of an annoyance. The app should exit when i select exit...same as when i walk out of the house i expect the door to stay shut

It might be a bug with the app, try contacting Google support for it.

I agree. It works correctly on every other device. Somehow the app developed for Samsung TV isn't working correctly. I wish Samsung would use Roku software...it's familiar and works better

I think it's just a YouTube tv think. I have a TCL tv and it does the same.

I thought i would provide an update. After numerous back and forth with google/youtubetv the app is working as designed. Google won't let go of your devices. Exit doesn't really mean exit.
I also suggest checking your Google account devices. My S25 showed 6 active Google sessions signed in. Some dating back to early September, even though my phone has had 2 OS updat3s and is restarted daily. If that isn't bad enough there 10, that's right 10 active signins on my television. Not sure why Google needs this. I had to manually sign out of each session. Again Google says this is by design. After 35 years in the industry the longest timeout I have seen is 30 minutes...much less for a secure system. Beware Google is with you even when it shouldn't be.
