I have a Samsung QN75Q80TA 75" Class Q80T QLED 4K UHD HDR Smart TV almost 2 years old and I have recently started seeing something what seems like a backlight issue to me. There are dark areas on screen which make a shape covering 30% of the screen. Colors are fine in this area just the screen is darker. It goes away on restarting the TV but comes back in a couple days again.

Questions:
1. Is it backlight or something else?
2. How hard is it to fix if it's backlight?

It's probably the panel going out. Is it still under warranty? It will cost a lot to repair if it's not under warranty and that money would be better spent towards a new TV in my opinion.

Thanks Diaboyos. Currently it's intermittent. But I do have a 3P warranty valid till April 2023. So I guess I should try my best to get it replaced.
Thanks for your reply.
Is there a sureshot way to tell if it's the panel vs if it's the backlight?

@Diaboyos From the patterns it seems more like diffused light from LED backlight arrays, some sections not lit. Can I reach out to Samsung tech support to at-least confirm if its backlight / panel? I guess backlight would only cost ~200??
