Hi! I'm trying to connect our old Wii game console (which has RCA cables) to our new Frame TV (which has only HDMI inputs). I had an RCA to HDMI converter working on my previous Samsung smart TV, but the new Frame TV does not seem to recognize that anything is plugged into the HDMI port using it now. Any suggestions?
I know that there are also some Wii-specific HDMI converters sold online but they seem to split the video and audio with a 3.5mm jack out for the audio, and the Frame One Connect box does not have a 3.5mm input for sound. So even if these worked for the picture (which I'm not sure of), there would be no sound, it seems.

Hi there, Thanks so much for reaching out about this. I can certainly understand the concern with your Wii not working with your TV. There are a few different things that could cause this to happen. We'll need to test a few things to determine what the cause is.
First, try plugging another device into the HDMI port to see if the port is working properly.
Next, you'll need to check the RCA to HDMI cable, as these cables can sometimes wear out over time. There are a couple ways you can test this. If you have another RCA device, you can connect that device with the same cable. Alternatively, (or if the new device does not work with the old cable) you can purchase a new RCA to HDMI cable and test it with the Wii.
If the port and cable work, but the Wii does not, then I would recommend reaching out to a Wii specific support channel. If the port does not work at all with any device or cable, then we would recommend service as the next step.
There are a couple options here we can take based on your warranty status. If you’re in the one-year manufacturer’s warranty, please gather together the full model and serial number of your unit, and have ready your name, street address, 2 phone numbers (Best contact, alternative number), email, and place of purchase.
