QLED and The FrameThanks so much for letting us know about this! There are a few different things that could be causing your TV to display in only black and white images. First, we'll check some things to determine what is causing this.
1. Run a picture test on the TV.
Navigate to Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test.
If there are colors in the picture test, continue to the next step.
If the picture test is also showing in black and white, the unit will require service. Service options are listed below these steps.
2. Test the cables and external device.
Connect the external device (cable box, game console, DVD player, etc) to a different TV or monitor.
If the images are still in black and white, either the cable or the external device is at fault. First try replacing the cable. If the colors still do not display correctly, then the external device is the source of the issue.
3. Check if Grayscale is enabled in the TV settings.
Navigate to Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Accessibility > Grayscale
If Grayscale is turned on, turn it off.
If none of these steps resolves the issue, the unit will require service. Thereβs a couple options here we can take based on your warranty status.
If youβre in the one-year manufacturerβs warranty, please gather together the full model and serial number of your unit, and have ready your name, street address, 2 phone numbers (Best contact, alternative number), email, and place of purchase. Provide this information to an agent, in one of the following options below:
1.) Reach out to a Moderator directly, by selecting our name and the message option. When messaging please use a link to this thread in addition to the info above.
2.) Reach out to us on Facebook or Twitter. Please provide the same info as above, as well as the link to your thread.
3.) You can also contact 1-800-726-7864, if youβd like to speak with a live agent about this situation.
4.) Last, if you wish to speak with a live agent and donβt want to call in, you can reach out to our Live Chat team.
If youβre out of the one-year manufacturerβs warranty:
1. You can utilize this link to locate an authorized service center in your area to obtain estimates for repairs: http://www.Samsung.com/us/support/service/location or reach out to any local television repair shop.
