QLED and The Frame

Hi,

i have a xbox series x and a 2020 samsung Q80T. Both have all latest firmware updates. Issue is when i select 4K gaming, i only have the 60hz option - xbox says my tv doesnt support 4K at120hz.

i have hdmi 2.1 plugged into port 4.

any help is appreciated.

I see other posts saying it's blinks when in this mode but my issue is that 120hz at 4K isn't even available.

Thanks.

Hey - figured out my issue...long story short, 50" Q80T (the one I have) doesn't support HDMI 2.1 so

No 4K @120hz, but the 55" and above do.

So lesson learned - not only need to search specs for the series but also the display size.

Ironically - if you go to the website, Samsung talks about the best gaming TVs. If you click on "shop" the 50" Q80T shows up first.

It's TRUE. The tv in fact is Capable of producing 120hz but was apparently governed back down last minute for screen stability. Hopefully they will have a patch for it soon. Kind of bad marketing. I'm totally capable of chopping that pine tree in my back yard down but it doesnt mean me and a chainsaw pair well together

Thanks for info - if that's true, that blows. Thing I'm still confused about is the litany of YouTube reviews which state the Q80T is amongst the best TVs for this system - also, there are a bunch that do step by step videos and I see the drop down there for 120hz under 4K. They even show the screen via the Xbox that shows what the tv is capable of. Still - mine won't give me the option unless I drop down the rez.
